Continuing to be so blessed working as an over the road truck driver, which I have been doing from the beginning of the pandemic! I am convinced that though we need to be wise and aware of appropriate ways of preventing getting the disease, it is dramatically overemphasized as to being in such dread and fear about it! I believe it's probable that most of the abundance of reported cases are probably not much more consequential than a case of the flu! I am so looking forward to as many people as possible being able to resume normal life as I have been so blessed to be able to do from the beginning!
I have a small service-based business. I Must Work. I had originally planned to be married this year (2020) but now, with everything on hold and locked down... it appears to be futile. I barely have 1/4 of the business level I am supposed to have...
...Here's the problem.
I am NOT a young "Young Man"... but I am "young enough". I Literally have a "Biological clock" ticking.... I am 56 years of age. Last year I made up my mind to -NOT- give up on the dream of having a family. ...so time is of the essence... I MUST marry a wife who is willing to have children with me, and since I am a bit older.... she also needs to be as mature as possible without being Too Terribly Young....
............Originally, last year, when I made up my mind about this? It was last November....
Then Covid 19 happened. Now that we have survived WITHOUT millions of people dying, I believe it is wiser for us to simply GET ON WITH LIFE.
I am running out of time. I am so terribly frustrated and becoming horribly depressed and demotivated. The entire reason I STARTED a small business of my own, IS so that I can afford a family if I wish to.
The political response to Covid 19 has destroyed my opportunity for this year. This summer is an utter waste, at this rate. We MUST LIVE LIFE........... or
Why Bother TRYING? It's not that I wish to give up at all. I merely can see ahead to where we already are listening to warnings about the next upcoming "Flu Season".
Let's LIVE LIFE.
It's what we are here for. Lets Live Live to the fullest.
Volunteering at the local mission every day to serve meals to the homeless. I have friends and family who have told me it's dangerous. It's true, I'm exposing myself to hundreds of people on a weekly basis. The alternative is that we let the poor go hungry.
No mask for me! Have you read the label on that box of N95 masks? A single CV19 particle is 0.125 microns. N95 masks only filter up to 0.3 microns or larger. In other words, N95 masks don't work. A handkerchief, scarf or towel? What a joke! Just like after 9/11, it's all security theater imposed by imposed by impotent leaders who can't shoot or legislate the problem. The Joker had it right: nobody panics when things go "according to plan." Wearing a useless mask is just "part of the plan!
I continue to support local businesses without fear. I continue to go to jiu jitsu and train hard. I refuse to wear a mask in order to show others you can operate without fear. Most importantly, I push my kids to understand they are powerful and stronger than the narrative they are weak and helpless.
I'm moving forward by looking at what is behind me, a nation, a family, friends, colleagues, mentors, and so on. If everyone has each other back, we can be our own spear point back into the world. Instead of so few working to solve this, everyone can find a new lead, vaccines, cures, and whatnot. THIS IS AMERICA, WE WILL PULL THROUGH!
I'm moving forward by understanding that the fundamental requirements of capitalism require the labor force of the working class. Without the production of the working class, there is no production. It should therefore be foremost in our motivation to encourage the production of all classes.
I work in a factory with 500 people, and we never closed. We do the social distancing, wear masks (just started 7/31/20), and so far cases have been few. But We need the businesses open, I used to have a business, and rental property, this Covid would have bankrupt me . Thank God , I sold them before this. I never stayed at home, and kept doing what I wanted to do,during the lock down. I'm in My 60's and only got the flu 3x in My life, and 300,000 people die from the flu ever year. So live life, and support local small business, not China, or Wal-mart. I'm a veteran, and love America.
I have continue moving forward by using the skill set that I have acquired working 10 years with a company to employ myself. The recent Covid virus slowed the small company I worked for so much they laid a bunch of employees off, including me. Sure some people enjoy unemployment however due to child support I barely get enough to eat from my unemployment. So I did the only thing I could as I continued to look for work I began helping those with windows and doors. I began to actually get a few more customers and started getting calls asking for my services and they would pay me. Now even though it has slowed again and at times it could be hard to find a job, I do what I can whenever I can for whoever I can to be my own boss and employee. I have no choice. I have 4 kids and a wife depending on me. I can NOT go homeless and will do anything and everything I can and continue to hopefully bring enough in for my services. I believe this country has a bright future if the American people take their power back from these corrupt politicians and major corporations. If we can learn the lessons from these last 70 years on so many different topics and social economic issues. If we don't learn and take our power back I fear we are all lost and the world my children msut grow up in.
I moving forward by living my life to fullest extent. Between the months of March 2020 and April 2020, I remained at home as much as possible. Just like many other Americans did. Similar to many others across the Western world. I was afraid and scared just like many others. I spent hours on my cellphone researching anything in relation to Covid-19 and the powers of the Federal and local governments. After having a nervous breakdown and resulting to take sedation medication to come back to sanity, I had a moment of clarity. I despise the idea of taking medication for anything other than true ailments. The life I was living had become unmanageable and quite scary to be honest. My mental health was extremely unstable and my body started to "shut down" essentially. Once I was no longer taking the medication, I began to deal with things much differently. I am a 34 year old male with a spouse and a 4 year old daughter that I love with all of my heart. I decided that I was no longer going to live in fear. Instead, I am going to live my life to it's fullest potential. Recently I have embarked on the vast benefits from routine exercise. A daily work out has turned into a great adventure for me and my family. Camping, hiking, and canoeing. Our country has some of the greatest state and national parks. Spending time in a natural environment has truly changed my life. For the better. Breathing in truly fresh air. Swimming in natural creeks. Bonding with my child in way that I never thought possible. Our family is the most important thing in our lives. Get away from the television and go outside and explore the world that surrounds us I say. Don't waste a single moment dwelling on the bad. Instead embrace what we have that is good and make every day worth living.
I move forward by continuing to chase my passion of photography, and sharing the beauty of a smile in these dark times.
I moved across the country to start my new career working on the Artemis Program, to explore space for America and indeed all mankind.
I am moving forward by expanding my reach locally by organizing dog walking, gardening and dinner activities with friends family and the community at large.
Trusting in the Lord & His promises, developing a stronger faith as a believer in Jesus Christ.
Reaching out to others and sharing the truth of God's Word.
If we will humble ourselves & pray, repenting of our sins n the sins of our people/nation then God will hear from Heaven n forgive our sins n answer our prayers.
The Lord is separating the sheep from the goats in this hour.
Share the good news of Jesus Christ only He can set us free & give us peace and purpose by the grace of
I'm moving foward by taking my family to Walt Disney World. We had this planned since summer of 2019 for a vacation summer of 2020. And now we are happy and confident to move forward with that plan In August. Ofcourse taking all safety and sanitization measure into account is #1 priority. But that being said my wife of ten years, my twin 5 year old boys and I deserve this happy magical experience as a family. Keep building experiences, keep having fun, be safe, and keep lifes experiences worth living.
No longer being muzzled like an animal in public. I hug my friends and family, I respect how others want to take care of their health, but I now demand they respect mine! I lost my job due to Covid and I will not be wearing a mask at my next job. If that means I go broke FINE I will not bow!
I haven't stopped moving forward. I'm not about to let a virus rule my life. I will continue to live as normally as possible everyday
What happened to 2020?
How in the world has everything so completely spun out of control just in the first six months alone? In order to document key information about what lead us here, I wrote a poem to chronicle events from January to June.
But this isn't your typical poetry.
Inspired by Billy Joel's song "We Didn't Start The Fire", my poem is fact-checked as much as possible to ensure the most accurate chronological order of events. You will see how and why this country has ground to a halt from the iron grip of propaganda, hatred, and fear.
Please consider sharing this on social media platforms, such as Twitter and Parler. Our country is in the throes of a civil war that is now anything but silent. Each share of this poem will help the lives these events are affecting, and will ensure the truth is not lost to the revision of history.
Brought to you by this autistic writer and mental health advocate:
I am 65 years old, 85 pounds overweight, and diabetic. Supposedly, that puts me in three "high risk" categories. In reality, I am not, though, because I make sure that I get plenty of vitamins C and D as well as zinc. I get enough rest. I haven't had a flu shot -- or the flu -- in at least 20 years. Folks, it's all about your immune system. Think about it: the people at high risk are only there because of a compromised immune system. I'm moving forward by continuing to do what I always did, to the extent that I can. I have been fortunate enough to keep my job, thought I'm working from home all of the time (whereas I used to do it only occasionally). When it comes to going out, I wear a face mask only when businesses require it. When I must, I use the same "disposable" surgical mask that I have been using since the beginning of this nonsense. Never been washed or replaced. Still no COVID-19, still no flu, still no cold. We've being played, folks. There's a LOT of money to be made by people in position to take advantage of the scare -- and they could not care less about the lives they're ruining.
Go out, have fun, enjoy the company of others. LIVE.
We shop our local stores. Have not shopped at any of the big chain stores since this started. I believe it is important to support our local business. They need our support more then the big chain stores.
We are moving forward by taking a trip by plane to PA for a family reunion. Four of us siblings traveled from other states. No one got sick in spite of our travels, busy airports and being with each other. We also have no fears about attending church services, shopping at various stores, eating at restaurants and supporting as many small businesses as possible.
using common sense, good health hygiene, not buying propaganda.
As a retired RN & sharing what is Fundamental in good Health practices daily.
I am moving forward, We own a siding company and a real estate investment company. We are moving forward.
NOT wearing a mask. I realized one day that the sight of so many masks was subconsciously reinforcing the fact that things aren't returning to normal. We now have SO much more information and therapeutics that we need to actually put that knowledge into practice. Should we wear masks at a medical or elderly care facility? YES! Should we force children to wear them to go to school? NO! Should we be frequently washing our hands?YES!
I am also trying to remember to speak up and speak out when I can about plain old common sense and common decency. Americans have never been afraid to speak our minds and share our thoughts, until recently. It doesn't mean confrontation. It means that in this country, my opinion is just as important as the person standing next to me, regardless of skin color or gender. They don't have to agree with it, but they do have to respect it, just as I respect theirs.
I love and cherish America and all we've overcome and accomplished in our history. We haven't been and are not perfect, but we ARE the BEST. And we need to start reminding everyone of this, so I thank you and appreciate you for doing this!
I am moving forward by continuing to wear my mask in public, and stay away from crowded areas to keep myself and others safe. I am helping flatten the curve so that things can finally slowly start to open up again, without hospitals being overwhelmed. I am afraid for my grandparents and for my immunocompromised friends and teachers, and I want to keep them safe. I am moving forward by finding new ways of connecting without meeting in person. I have started a dungeons and dragons group among my friends. I have started selling my art. I am moving forward by staying safe at home, so that I won’t be taking up space in a hospital, which someone else needs. I am moving forward so that others who need to continue their jobs can do it without fear, because the curve is flattened. We aren’t out of the pandemic yet, I want everyone to know that you’re strong, and we will make it through. Stay safe, and find hobbies.
My nephew and his wife are having a baby at the end of July, so we had a baby shower for her the last weekend in June. About 25 family members & friends showed up - including a few elderly and children.
The only precautions everyone took were simple & basic - wash your hands upon arrival and stay away if feeling ill. No masks and the home was too small for social distancing - not that we would have avoided hugging each other anyway! 🙂
We all had a wonderful time. Good food, corny games, opening of gifts and a very funny short film by my nephew about the joys of pregnancy! It was delightful to see and spend time with everyone!
Side Note: It has been over three weeks since the shower and no one has experienced any symptoms of illness.
Life has always involved a certain degree of reasonable risk every single day. However, those risks have never - and should never - prevent us from sharing love, laughter and quality time with friends & family. Use sensible precautions when necessary, but don't let fear dominate your entire life.
I don't know what the future holds, but through courage, resolve and a bit of common sense, I am hopeful things will change for the better soon!
I'm originally from the southside of Chicago where drugs and gangs were the major issues plaguing the community. I was raised by both married parents. Most of the kids didn't have even both parents in the home. I was very fortunate. I graduated in the top 7 of my class of high school. After I went on to join the Air Force. After the military, I did government contracting and vacationed in places I would have never dreamed a black kid from Chicago would ever travel to. Now as I sit here in my home office in Texas at 34 years old as a network engineer, I still strive to continue love America and become even more emboldened in my American roots. This country may have its flaws, but I still love it. I don't regret being born in this country and serving. Though I wish I could joined the Army or Marines, still I'm gracious by God and in Christ to be an American.
My friend and I having be going on walks, meeting other people in the neighborhood and at parks and beaches that are "closed." People want to get out; just a wave and a hello helps to support our mutual need for normal interaction. When we take our walks, we patronize local coffee shops and restaurants that have reopened or shop at local stores. Supporting local businesses means more people can get back to work and we can all get back to normal. It may be a small action but it feels good to be doing something.
I continue to take care of my health, because I believe it is my immune system, rather than artificial means that will help me stay healthy.
I enjoy worshiping, fellowshipping, and singing at church. The beauty of communing with my Creator day-to-day keeps me encouraged.
We observed the great joy of the children in our Vacation Bible School, interacting playfully all week. The children and parents stayed nearly an hour afterward each night, the children playing together and the parents leisurely enjoying time with other adults.
As a police officer I haven't been able to "quarantine" and wouldn't have anyway, but I have used the time to not only grow close to family, but I have started my own T Shirt brand for kids called Tiny Tactical Clothing Company. It has given me self worth that anything is possible and I’m in charge of my own fate where being a police officer I don’t always have that opportunity.
not buying into all the media hype, doing my own research and proceeding accordingly. I'm using common sense when interacting with others but not letting the media panic rule me. I just retired and in spite of being locked down, I'm embarking on new adventures and finding ways to volunteer that help others have a better life. I will continue to live my life as normally as possible within the government mandated limitations and plan for the day when we aren't restricted in our interactions.
I work in an industry with close physical contact, and have returned to work with ambition and gusto! I am at extreme risk due to pre existing health issues, but have decided that my freedom and want for happiness and autonomy are more important than compliance (more than need be, for legal purposes). I have been interacting with people on a very personal level, and feel that physical touch is a most human of actions. If I get covid, so be it! I am not willing to sacrifice my happiness and sanity for supposed safety. It is good to fully and actually live and not just merely be alive! Live well brave ones!
** Mowing & landscaping my mother's yard, my sister's yard, my next-door neighbor's yard - each yard, twice per month, with no charge to them.
** Donning my mask & going Walmart shopping, fast-food takeout excursions at my mother's & sister's requests, other errands.
** Keeping my viewing of news media to a minimum, because if they aren't downright fear-evoking, they're at the very least, sad.
** Keeping my chin up, my hopes high & my American flag flying high.
I "adopted" a small business by grocery shopping at a specialty shop owned by a young family. Helping them turn Inventory into cash is the best way to keep them afloat.
I hit a milestone today...no adult beverages for 100 days (I don't drink at home only at local bars).
--Saving money (gas, booze & jukebox costs)
--No un-sanitized bar/table tops & bar stools
--No risk of DWI
--Losing weight (no drunken late-night meals)
--No cigarette smoke odor
--No hangovers (sleep better)
--Productivity has increased
--Memory recall is better
The mandatory lockdown of Texas bars has actually helped & hasn't drastically changed my lifestyle.
I am moving forward by continuing to love and worship My Savior and loving every person I meet or see! By believing we are all worth the love and care we can give! By trying to be an example of what life is about and being there when someone needs help! I will fight for mine and everyone right to be what God intended them to be. The right for free speech, to bear arms to protect my family and what I have worked hard for.
I will work hard to make this world a better place for my Daughter, my Grandchildren and my Great Grandchildren as well as everyone else’s children!
I’m moving forward by..... I haven’t missed a day of work, or a beat in my normal life since this “Pandemic” started - I’ve travels, socialized at church, went shopping, ate out for breakfast daily, I’ll not by kept from living my life by any governor.
Wearing a mask at all times when I have to be in public, and limiting contact whenever possible.
Starting a new job in a coating shop. I'm making real money for the first time, and I plan on buying my friends some Buffalo Wild Wings.
We eat out as often as possible, even if it is just carry-out, to support the eateries that have re-opened. When we do, I try to tip generously to help others financially.
We have gone to our church services, in the parking lot and socially distancing with masks.
I volunteered to be in the first group to return to working at our office.
We will win over this troubling time, if we keep our heads and pull together against the forces trying to divide us.
I almost died 4 years ago with two serious health issues. I now have a pacemaker and several sections of small intestine and a foot of colon removed. The mask does me more harm. I cannot breathe the C02 which we exhale. I have come close to passing out or throwing up inside the store. Therefore, I have decided to avoid the mask u less mandatory.then I can choose to not visit that store. I believe statistics are being manipulated and this as well as the disturbances in our country and the world are part of a one world global agenda.
I live in a Independent Center we moved in to be proactive and moved in sooner sooner while I could qualify to move into a two bedroom / 2 bathroom with walk in Shower Casita. My husband got the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. We decided we would fight this battle just like we have the other things he is battling. We moved into the care center February 1st, 2020. I never wanted him to be in a assisted living two men to a room when he suffered a kidney bleed and had to have surgery going up through the groin to stop it. He was in assisted living facility located behind the VA hospital in Phoenix. He has his caregiver who baths him 3 times a week sent in from the VA. He had his therapy also sent in by the VA and I feel fortunate to only have to focus on being his aid & attendant / Med Tec does every thing else he needs done. We have been here 6 months and he is flourishing. This is the answer to my prayers and to give me the strength to take care of him. We live one day at a time and together we are stronger and not as before when he was in assisted living.
By continuing to focus on my goals that have only been delayed. To stand on the foundation of love. The same love that God has for everyone. By taking responsibility for myself and teaching my son not to be a victim.
I’m moving forward by staying very informed on what truly is happening in our world.
My husband and I are in our seventies! We are that “at risk” group! We decided to take control of our health a few years ago and since then we are healthier than some of our peers! Do we worry about COVID-19 , yes to an extent! We believe in ourselves! We take Precautions and are pro active! First thing we did was TURN OFF MSM! Stop listening to that garbage! Second, we found doctors and health professionals who are not pro big pharma!
We found podcasts that we Trust! Fact check ! Are we living our life cowered in our home? No, we are living our lifestyle of traveling the country. We are not rich. We live on a fixed income like most seniors. We social distance . We get groceries delivered, we spend time in nature away from crowds! I trust God and Trump to get us through this! So many of our friends are terrified of leaving their homes or go outside for sunshine! They are brainwashed! No words can change their minds! We are not foolish people, we refuse to become foolish people and let our freedoms disappear.
After being confined for three months, I said enough is enough. As cruising is out at this time, we decided to go on an All American driving trip. We drove from Florida to Georgia and Tennessee.
We stayed in very sanitized hotels and eat at restaurants that had gone out of their way to keep us safe. We had a GREAT time and plan to go again in a few weeks. The hotels and restaurants need our business and we got out of our lockdown. Enjoy America go ahead and live safely.
I’m going about my life as I always have but since I am 69 years old and therefore at high risk, I am taking the recommended precautions necessary to avoid the virus. I’m not about to surrender what precious little time I have left on this earth to some tiny invisible virus that is trying to destroy me. Full speed ahead!
I am back to normal activity. The virus is spiking due to riots not from haircuts and dining out! Granted I am at risk individual, but i will NOT sit home and wait to die, I will go out and LIVE!
I'm moving forward by... signing petition to remove Gov Whitmer, encouraging family members killed in senior centers to file suit, and continuing to work with the DOJ to preserve our constitutional rights.
Wear a frickin mask. It's pretty simple. Then, demand contact tracing.
I don't own a small business but think thei struggles they're going through are wrenching. You want them to reopen, to survive?
Then don't be stupid and take a risk. Be smart, wear a mask, and demand the government contact trace.
Taking the family to Disney World in August to show our kids that you don’t have to live in fear. We want to support all of those in the service industry who are eager to get back to work and we can balance living with dealing with the virus.
I moved to WA for the nature last fall, if you think I'd let the virus cause me to miss the beauty my first summer here you are crazy!
I used to go to the gym everyday before the shutdown to get myself into shape, now I try to run outside and use my friend's home gym. I suppose it is safer than an open gym but this is hurting a lot of people;s positive habits!
I live in WY one of the states with the fewest number of cases so I have tried to live like normal this whole time. I will wear a mask going into places that require it but never when just out enjoying the weather. As Americans we WILL get through this!
I go to the farmers market every other week! I try to do my part helping the farmers who may be hurting in this time, a virus is no reason to stop shopping fresh and local!
Getting up for work like I do everyday, luckily this hasn't hurt my line of work but I am taking the time to help my in laws with errands so they don't need to deal with the headache and worry
My Daughter married her boyfriend of 5 years almost a month ago and with the size of our families, not everyone was "allowed" to come but we had them anyway! OUR LIVES WILL NOT STOP DUE TO FEAR
My knowledge of how oye Democacy works and a es pe as Ting the gteed lll ovets from they nation killlers Ego wih out límites de se a People ot the Mighty Understanding of La OVE and LIGHT whe hace ER RADICATED THE DARKNESS OF FEAR AN D LASCIVIOU S BEHAVIOR THAT WI CKEDNESS OiF GREED HEEPS
There were new orders to wear masks by tri county Health here in metro Denver, Co. So I made a sign to where that reads "Wearing Masks is Submission to Tyranny" I wore it for the first time when I went out walking this morning. The reaction to the people I passed was 1 thumbs up, 1 Amen, 1 person who objected to my message. The rest made no comment. I plan to wear when I go grocery shopping tomorrow.
I have been taking my son out to parks with me when I go on walks since they opened. We cannot let our children's development fall behind! The playground "guards" they have here seem like a bit much.
I got an "illegal" haircut from a friend, just like the bill pile grows in a shutdown so does our hair!
Shopping locally as much as possible! After my favorite lunch spot closed I have been trying to help other businesses so it doesn't happen and I can't believe how many little places I've missed over the years!
My family and I are trying hard to live life as normally as possible. We are supporting local restaurants and shopping at small businesses. We are also planning a vacation where we will stay in hotels and support small businesses along the 15 hour road trip. Trying to stay positive and encourage others to live!
I am retired and my friends are taking turns going to different reastaurnts and stores we shop eat and attend local stores We are going to church and urging. People to go on with living
GTo work for our politicians and. Do what we can for all local stores. Farmers. And farmers. Mssrkets We will not be silent over what is wrong. We are a Christian nation
Finding new ways to support myself and just refusing to let the news of the day impair The future and how we make it is in large part up to each of us to be constructive and not judge others by word or deed
Im moving forward by staying home as much as possible and wearing a mask when I go out. I shop locally at businesses who aren't putting their profits over people's health.
I’m continuing to live life as normal If we don’t move forward we will only go backwards . We need to preserve our history so we can learn from our mistakes . We need to send our children to school . This can all be done safely as long as we do not live in fear . God will take care of us as He has promised . If we dare not step out we will find ourselves to n a socialist country
I am lucky enough to be working at a company that didn't close and won't close (no matter what anyone says) so I was able to avoid many of the hardships others are experiencing. But it's proof that it can be done. No one should be forced to close their business or not be allowed to work. It's a basic human right. Of course we should always be cautious and clean but I believe we can do so without the government enforcing it. Yes, I think we should open up and never close again.
LOLA is moving forward by continuing to conduct online meetings that work to spread the message of individual liberty and freedom. These Zoom meetings are taking place across the globe from India, Nigeria, Uruguay, Kenya, Colombia and many, many more countries. Despite a global pandemic, we will not give up meeting together and we will not give up in spreading the message of liberty!
I haven’t done things much different than normal. I do wear a mask when I go shopping.
I believe if people like my daughter an RN can work through this as she and others has , them others can put their mask on and go back to work . People can keep a reasonable distance and use hand sanitizer as needed and work just as so many has . I am so thankful for President Trump and how he has handled everything. I don’t know how his name will be accepted by this group but I stand with him .
Supporting local businesses with my family and close friends who I have missed these past few months
I am going forward by following wearing the mask, keeping the 6ft.social ’distance, & supporting my local stores. I only go out when necessary, & keep in touch with family& friends by text messages. Only recently have I have been with family- only once. I also, wash my hands frequently. I am trying to keep busy around the house& yard. . I keep informed of news of the virus, & follow the guidelines.
I'm moving forward by flying this previous weekend, staying in a hotel and eating at numerous restaurants!
I flew to Wisconsin and spent time with my family. This included a lovely afternoon with my nearly 80-year-old grandparents. We had a great time and exchanged mask-less hugs. I subsequently spent 2 great days with my nieces at water parks in Wisconsin Dells. What a refreshing return to normalcy.
Rayetta we find someone to serve everyday. We write letters, do yardwork for others, and take dinners into elderly neighbors once a week. We've become much more aware of those around us since this all happened. We support restaurants, hair dressers, etc far more often than we did before. We take the time to teach our kids about freedom, the Constitution, and history.
Wearing a mask and social distancing.
Trusting God to provide for all needs.
I am a Caregiver. I do my best to stay healthy for myself, my family and the resiidents I serve.
It's hard to know how much of our situation in America is reality and how much is gor political purposes.
I go to the local farmer’s markets wearing a mask and practicing social distancing. I shop at local stores again wearing a mask and orderIng take-out from local restaurants. I am 71.
My husband and I have had the virus. We were sick for about 3 weeks. It was like having a cold with fever. Not as bad as the flu. The worse side effect was feeling exhausted. But we have fully recovered. We are in our late 50’s. I had other conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes. We both stayed home and were quarantined for 15 days. Now we are going out as usual. (As far as society allows)!
I'm moving forward by purchasing a new house in a new town and moving to a community where I can walk to the grocery store- Dollar General and the laundry mat. I am soon to be 65 years of age- I will have new neighbors, a new church to attend, a new grocery store to find things I need in (I am Gluten-intolerant) and a new Dollar General. I know no one in this town, so it is a whole new life for me. You can do it too- Go out to dinner-even if it's take-out eaten at the park. Live life!
I'm moving forward by still trusting in God. I'm a Caucasian women who has had several
generations serve this country. Ranging from my great grandfather who in Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders, he married a full blooded Cherokee Indian women. My grandfather served in the Army in WWI. My father served in the Korean War,my two brother's served in Army
during late 60's. My son served in marines in Afganistan. Do I & my family love this nation. I think all is obvious.
I belong to a black church. Wonderful people who love God. We don't see color, we see precious people who love God and one another.
Our loving Father is who is missing in this equation. This nation needs more of His love in their hearts. God Bless the United States of America
I'm moving forward by intentionally choosing, in every action, to ignore agenda driven propaganda, support my favorite local businesses, and live and allow others to live where: we all fully decide what we will do, with whom to associate , and where we travel. I make this choice safe in the knowledge my Natural Rights are protected from tyrannic overreach by the founding documents in this country, specifically the Bill of Rights, and stand ready to resist any efforts to harm my family, business or community.
I live in Houston. Recently I found a new convience store that prepared to open when allowed. These people have put all they have to start their new self owned business. It is beautiful. I am near their store a few times per week. I go in and buy something even though I may not need it. I talk to the owners as we have met several times and now know one another. I give them words of encouragement
and tell all about their business. It is obvious it makes them happy to just hear encouragement.
Trying to do everything normal. Wearing my mask sometimes, helping those I can. Staying close to God. God is still in control and coming soon. Looking up!
I'm moving forward by taking a vacation across parts of the country I haven't seen for numerous years. From the middle of the country to Yosemite, Yellowstone and Mt Rushmore. Then I can't wait to get back into my church and thank God for His care for all the sick that have recovered and to pray for all the families that have lost a friend or family member during this time for whatever reason. May God bless our country, our President and all those that are working to get/keep us well and safe from those that want to destroy us from the inside.
My lovely wife and took a vacation for the first time in many years. We ate out a lot and visited many sites and businesses... making several purchases while there. We are "mask free" and intend to stay that way. I believe that in moving forward as a Nation, we must be generous with others who've had it Much more difficult than ourselves. On our vacation, we tipped such that it took many servers by surprise. My wife and I believe that Generosity is a truly American trait that is REALLY needed right now. We are retired seniors and during this difficult time we have endeavored to get out and live Life in a normal, forward-looking, healthy, happy, Faith-sharing, and determined way. We smile purposely and happily at others to HOPEFULLY cheer-up their day. Life is indeed so precious. It can end as suddenly as falling asleep while driving. Without us realizing it's so fragile, Life can pass us by very fast. See, death is always close at hand...and we have realized of late that the YEARS have whisked away before our eyes - yet, we didn't slow down and enjoy Life near enough. We're determined now to reach out, be generous, smile, help, love, share, and be encouraging to as many as we can. Last, we are Praying for our great Country to Unite and so we hold all our neighbors up to God in Love and Hope...Hope that God will lift us ALL out of division, harm, illness and poverty of Life and Spirit, to the fullness of the Life we desire and deserve as Children of God.
Not giving up! Not caving to the radical ideals of the Democratic Party! Thinking and doing for myself! Not being dependent on who the left is trying to dictate
I'm moving forward with my Faith conquering my fear. My God makes a way where there's no way. I will not submit to the fear tactics of the lying media and the enemy within. God is good all the time.... And all the time God is good!
I'm moving forward by spending Independence Day weekend with friends at the beach in Ocean Coty, MD and sharing dreams for future start up businesses.
Trusting in God. If you can do that then you know you are going to be good. We need to believe in America and have America put God back in everything. If we loose God in America we loose everything. We need to leave the statues alone, Mt Rushmore alone and all that our founding fathers stood for and fought for. We need to move on and stop this hate and stop being offended over everything. Lean on God. My family prays for our country every night. God is the only answer.
I’m continuing to live life and be active. Take some precautions but still continue doing volunteer work and things for my church. Keep grandchildren most days also.
We cannot be ruled by fear! God said, “He has not given us a spirit of fear but power, love & a sound mind.” God is still in control. Hang onto Him even if it’s just by your fingernails if that’s all you can manage. He will NOT fail you! We must trust in the one true God. That’s what this country needs now more than ever! We must turn this country back to Him & He will surely bless us as a nation & individually if we but just trust in Him. I will not live my life in fear walking around everywhere with a mask for the rest of my life. I am disabled & I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He is the only one who can protect me from COVID 19 or anything set out to harm me. My trust is in Him, not some flimsy mask! We must open up America, get our people back to work & save people’s families & businesses. Step out in faith, trusting & see what God will do. God bless America!!🇺🇸😇🙏🏻✝️✡️🛐❤️💜
Keeping the Faith in this Country, my Family and the POTUS (who had & will get my Vote again). My Father lived through the Depression, WW2/Korean War/Vietnam War and always taught us Kids to stay strong and believe in America and our Fellow Countrymen. I am passing that wisdom on to my Children. God Bless the USA!!!
I’m moving forward by not watching the “news”.
I’ll scan thru the channels just to spot check & keep up on anything that I may need to know, but the minute I hear a negative comment, I turn it off.
My attitude has improved greatly since I started doing this!
Stay Positive, and God Bless America!!
Living by the giese of fear only paralyzes you. Here are some verses I live by:
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
2 Timothy 1:7
There is no fear in love, but perfect lover cast out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears had not been perfected in love.
1 John 4:18
I through Jesus Christ my Saviour have been perfected in love, therefore I do not need to fear anything but God himself. He had given me the spirit of POWER, and of LOVE and that LOVE had cast out fear. I also have a sound mind, so all the great mongering that the media, Democrats, and progressive liberals attempt to place on me had no power. I through the sound mind that God has given to mind allows me to set through their games and know that, though the covid virus is real, it is not as big of a problem these fear mongers want us to believe. Also because if the wisdom I have through my studies of God's word and godly scientific study, I know that being shut in, wearing mask, scrubbing everything down every time contact is made is harmful. You see Good head also created my body with this wonderful immune system, design to interact with germs, which only strengthens my immune system. Therefore when you attempt to over protect yourself from the interaction, you are in fact weakening your immune system leading to you becoming more ill when you do come in contact with germs. All the hype related to the riots and Antifa , etc. Is pure evil. Evil can not prevail over me without God's permission. God will prevail over evil. Beside, I place none of my trust in government or man. All my trust is in God alone. We can prevail over evil when we walk with there LORD.
So, I am still living my life in freedom because, think know the truth is to be made free. Free of fear, free of threat, free of punishment, and full of joy, love and peace. God is my refuge, my high tower. I am going to live in power, love and sound mind and free from fear, so I can be blessed and full of joy and happiness and not fear.
I'm moving forward by supporting our local businesses, eating out, shopping, and smiling!. I am also going on vacation to upstate NY! Softball has started up again for my girls and its been great seeing the rest of the team. This, too, shall pass!
I’m ignoring the local and state government. I won’t wear a mask anywhere. If people are at risk, then you stay home, you hide and have food delivered to you, but I am taking charge of my life by working, playing and enjoying the fresh air with out a mask and not worrying about a so called virus. If you are so worried about death, maybe you need to repent and prepare to meet your maker. I myself try to be ready daily.
I am moving forward by spending time with God. In the word of God. I am not afraid for I believe God is my protector from this virus. I will eventually be teaching God's word to those who want more of God and his word. God and his word is what will sustain us. Not man. God bless
I‘m the oldest Lung Transplant ever, and I work 4 hours per day. I‘m 82 years öld, I Hunt, Fish, boat ⛵️ with my Lövely Family. Last year I got my dream Trophy 🏆 Elk, a 6x6, a 520 yard Shot. I thank GOD, my lovely’s wife, my two sons and 5 beautiful grandchildren. I also thank St Joseph Catholic Hospital 🏥 Phoenix Arizona Doctors and Staff and the Donor. Life is Wonderful.
I am working at my veterinary hospital seeing patients despite being in my 70’s because people love their companion animals and life needs to have normalcy. We are a nation of doers and no one should forget that we live in the Land of the free and the Home of the brave. No one should forget why we sing our Nation Anthem.
I’m moving on by going everywhere I can. I attend daily mass & receive the Eucharist. I Sam retired but get going every morning with activities at home and in the community. I also started volunteering for American Red Cross as screener for Blood drives. I follow guidelines from our governor wearing mask & social distancing. We have many family functions which means not keeping 10 people rule as I have a many children, grandchildren & great grandchildren!
Staying away from fake news, and keep thinking of the positive that will come out of all this.
Almost three months ago, my sister and I met with small businesses to explain their Constitutional rights. Unfortunately, they were too scared to open, and would not ban together. I am NOT wearing a dangerous mask on my face despite the mandate (even though I am not in a Marxist protest, thus don't need one), and I will shop as if nothing is different!
Seems like this is just presenting a binary option where really it seems like having a multi-faceted targeted approach would work best #coordination #communication #criticalthinking #problemsolving
I'm moving forward by looking at the data, taking calculated risks and measures, and making changes in m'life to better enjoy it and improve it. #smellslikegaslighting #somethingfishyhere
In general, by reminding myself to remain courageous and hopeful in the face of adversity, by forging ahead with my pre-COVID plans. Also giving as much business as possible to as many of my business and personal vendors as I can. It is now that everyone can use it. So I decide to have faith, and push through with as many of hem as possible so that resources keep flowing.
I am also enjoying picking up my own fruits and vegetables at the store 🙂
staying inside and wearing a mask so this pandemic ends sooner and we can all countine normally and safely.
Life goes on in spite of all the bad that we see corrupting our country today. The level of dysfunction and hatred that is assaulting our country and our people everyday is against everything our country stands for. I do my part by staying informed, by sharing the information I read and watch, by encouraging others to do the same, and by restoring normalcy in my daily routine as much as I can. I love the USA and believe that President Trump is doing a wonderful job for our country and fir the American people Trump 2020!! 👍🇺🇸💪🇺🇸❤️👍🇺🇸💪🇺🇸❤️
I'm living my life without fear of consequence. Largely driven by seeking revealing information about how viruses duplicate and are transmitted. Living a healthful life, and that will take very much research to truly understand that, by and large is all that is needed to protect your physical being from this novel corona virus. A vaccine is not needed for our bodies to protect itself. Our God given bodies can fend for itself quite well. We encounter millions of viruses every day in many walks of life. We coexist with those viruses. They actual are part of our very being. So I do not walk in fear, I encourage others to do the same. Empower yourself by doing your own research. True leadership would be asking you to do the same, not trying to fill you with fear of the unknown.
I have not stopped working or going about my normal activities. I fly around the country and have seen empty airports. I have remained healthy and so has everyone I know in family and at work. Zero positive cases. My personal empirical data shows no evidence of a pandemic other than the restrictions that have been put on our public behavior of social distancing, dining out in our favorite restaurants, and wearing masks. The modern medical establishment has brainwashed the common person to fear invisible germs that we have coexisted with for millennium.
Yeah though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil.
I’m moving forward by living in Florida. We have the great Governor DeSantis and two great Senators, Rubio and Scott. We have the great President Trump! I live at ease knowing these four men and other Florida Republicans have my back in my home state.
As a retired teacher from Ohio I enjoy playing year round tennis, Pickleball, swimming, walks, going to the beach, visiting my favorite restaurants, seeing my family and friends. I expect the wearing of masks, closed churches, closed theaters, closed anything will end soon. We will have our good lives back
when the Leftists stop behaving like angry children.
I never stopped living my life as normally as the restrictions would allow. I still go shopping, I’m working full time again and I go visit my daughter and grandsons
I'm moving forward by taking my daughter on a trip to see potential colleges, and by taking my family to the beach. It's summertime, and kids need to be outside.
I keep rational and kind people in my life, I work two jobs to keep a roof over my head and I work at being a good mom. We will overcome the Communists. The citizens will fight back if we need to. I am optimistic that the moral values of the Lord will prevail.
I am going forward by continuing in my job. I believe this virus that caused all this confusion was a planned thing by enemies in the US and abroad. Reports of more cases are expected as they have done more testing and no evidence has proved that all positive cases have had an active illness. The attempts to protect seem questionable since the protest groups neither distance themselves or wear anything "protective". I am pressing on and back to life as usual. I will vote as I always do for the economy, and the American dream.
I have traveled to Huntsville Alabama where my daughter is attending Space Camp, rented an adorable Farm Stay cottage for the week, ridden a horse for the first time in several years, and put on my mask and went down to shop and support local artists brave enough to open back up. I am weighing the risks and doing my own research off main stream media. Life is definitely 4 living!
Took my family on a vacation to a lake where we dining out, rented a boat and went tubing, and visiting amusements parks.
I’m moving forward by taking my Rottweiler for rides to the park or just anywhere! She loves the car.
Since the start of this I would frequent local shops to show support and say hello. Any business was better than none. It meant a lot to them. I don’t wear a mask unless requested by the private enterprise. Took the dogs to the beach with a friend last Saturday. Got a massage today. Told my employer I really need to get back out on the road and finally got permission to go out next week! Not giving in or giving up on making America normal again and keeping her true! Hung an NYPD teeshirt in my truck rear window to show support and exhibit my freedom. If we live in fear we may as well be dead. God bless America!
I'm moving forward, working hard and walking in faith not fear! My motto since I was told by the government that I was an 'essential' work and "could" work during the 'government mandated' shutdown was "FAITH OVER FEAR". I will not, no I will NEVER allow the government, any government to offer me a trade of my 'security' over my God given Freedoms! God gave them to me and only God can take them away! NEVERAGAIN!
Not letting the fear stop me. Not being controlled by a virus or government. Yes, I will do what is safe for others and myself....but I will not be OPRESSED from anything any longer! I will STAND for My America! She is Amazing...and the best country to live in by far...For Any Ethnicity!!
And all AMERICANS !!!
WE ARE ONE !!
We're getting together for patio dinners regularly. It's so great to be socializing in a context other than Zoom! (Even though we're thankful for Zoom, and the other technological gifts making so much safe interaction possible.)
I’m supporting our local restaurants and beginning to get together with friends, who like us, have been isolating. We are still cautious, however, we know that it’s imperative for our country, our neighbors, friends and family overcome the fear of staying in that most dangerous of places- waiting.
I'm setting up playdates for my 7-year-old daughter, to make sure she has an enriching and joyful childhood. I'm doing what I can to create a brighter future for her.
Having house guests from at least 3 different states into my home for 4th of July week. Some are flying some are driving. The parents will be doing dinner at least one night, maybe more? We'll go to Church together and live life because life is 4 living.
Keeping my business running, even hiring new staff. And seeing friends and family in whatever way they're comfortable. God bless America 🙂
I am doing my part! I have flown, I have attended business meetings in person, and I eat out every chance I get (leaving big tips). I shop at stores as much as possible instead of online, and at the smaller shops rather than the chains. I socialize with friends. We laugh and hug. None of us have gotten Covid. And if we do, we will get over it.
I am moving forward by getting out to support local business as much as I can do safely as things reopen. Takeout from favorite restaurants, shopping at local garden centers, eating out where there is outdoor seating, supporting local farmers at a weekly outdoor market, and hiring companies that are allowed to operate to do home improvement projects. Everything helps keep the economy moving!
I'm moving forward by having dinner parties with friends and enjoying my fire pit with S'Mores!
I'm moving forward by patronizing small, local restaurants and businesses in my community.
Keeping things just as they were and not living in fear... letting the kids bike around the neighborhood by themselves, visiting local stores, eating out, traveling, hiring new employees, seeing friends, and so much more...
My wife and I went out to eat last weekend! And our kids are starting to play again with other kids in the neighborhood. It's such a joy to see them playing again after months of only interacting with their friends through screens.
I'm moving forward by taking my dogs to the dog park, hiking with friends, dining at restaurants that have recently re-opened and by reminding my fellow Americans that freedom is what makes life worth living, no matter what its difficulties may be.
I'm moving forward by taking my elderly parents out to early inside dinners once a week, catching up on doctor visits, getting my oil changed and getting on with life and work.
I'm launching a new virtual education project, inspired by successful virtual education projects that evolved rapidly due to COVID. It will allow a much richer, interpersonal, high quality educational experience than many children currently have access to in their local schools. I'm starting with a low income African-American community. My wife and I are also remodeling our home and traveling to NM for a month while it being remodeled. I see us all going forward both to rebuild older institutions and to create new institutions in light of all we've learned in the past six months. Periods of challenge are often followed by periods of rebirth. I expect we are now on the path of rebirth, a renaissance.
I go for a walk every day with a friend in the fresh air and put one foot in front of the other. I moved house and am optimistic about the future. God bless America.
I haven't been able to attend a service with my church in months. I've been moving forward by helping the church with renovations it's making this summer and fellowshipping with friends wherever possible to build them up and stay strong myself.
I've also done my best to keep my favorite nearby Chinese restaurant in business and go to eat out with friends who also want to do so. It's nice to see people out and about again. Society is healing. Let's move on.
I'm moving forward by supporting my local economy by going out to eat! My partner and I love restaurants and missed going out. We are so happy we can go back to enjoying our date nights. We are still being safe, but taking little steps.
Going on nightly walks or bike rides that allow me to spend quality time with friends, and trying to get takeout or dine-in food or drinks afterwards to support local small businesses!
I'm moving forward by working on projects around my home and supporting local businesses and restaurants through patronage.
keeping my normal work day schedule up at 6 am for 40 minute work out ready to leave for office by 730 am
I'm moving forward by supporting businesses by grabbing dinner with some friends at our favorite outdoor patios as often as we can. It's a great way to see friends that I haven't seen since quarantine and a great way to support our favorite local restaurants!
It's been a gradual process of adjusting and returning to normal life.
I don't see myself attending a game with fans any time soon, but with my new found time, I've become more dedicated to hobbies such as golf. I'm able to maintain distance, get some fresh air, and enjoy the process of improvement.
My wife and I finally were able to enjoy some time away from our home visiting family and hiking. While we're usually more interested in beaches and international cities, this vacation let us enjoy a new experience and support local businesses in the rural community we visited. We bought take out, rented a place from a local owner, and enjoyed a drive-in movie.
These small steps are going a long way to helping us adjust to living with the virus while remaining safe.
I'm moving forward by leading a group exercise class at my gym that just reopened.
Taking my son outside more and meeting up with friends for drinks. God bless America!
I am supporting local businesses - purchasing from small boutiques and family owned restaurants. We need to be the change we want to see.
In a world where there is so much to worry about. I choose joy. I choose to control the things only I can control.
I choose freedom.
I choose to get out of day with a purpose.
I choose to walk everyday and breathe in fresh air.
During these times, it’s all about our mindset - I want to be the positive change.
I'm moving forward by safely wearing a mask and going out to local businesses and making sure I tip extra for the workers who are back to work.
Right now I'm on an Amtrak traveling to celebrate Independence Day with family! Seeing loved ones and remembering the freedoms we are so fortunate to have.
Taking my 16 month old son on a walk along the Potomac. What a beautiful country we live in...
